Thermal Resistance Training (TRT)

Our most popular class.

TRT is a specialized weight training program geared towards individuals of all fitness levels. The program consists of a full body workout routine that obliterates fat while sculpting your natural physique. Participants will engage in a plateau-busting workout in a warm room that combines sweat with resistance, a perfect recipe for a perfect body.

BFlow + BPower

Get ready to work hard, breathe fully, and sweat it out in a heated room. This energetic and challenging power flow class integrates breath with movement and builds strength, flexibility and core stability. Sequences include sun salutations, standing, balancing, seated, twisting postures and may include introductions to arm balances and inversions to keep your yoga practice fresh and lively.
Class length: 60 minutes

BHot Core 2.0

This is a 45 minute class dedicated to working your Glutes and Core with making your heart work at the same time!”

Burn & Firm

This full body workout changes week to week, making your body guess and keeping you entertained. It is one of our Trainer’s, Kim, own. Her energy will keep you motivated and coming back!

Bootcamp

This full body workout is group training with no more than 12 people so you get customization in a great atmosphere.

BYin

Gentle, prolonged and deep stretching coupled with a warm, calming environment allows your muscles and ligaments to relax, lengthen, and loosen. Your connective tissues become stronger and more flexible, enhancing all of your other fitness activities whether you practice other types of yoga, run, lift weights or cycle. See your alignment improve and your performance increase.

I am so fortunate to be in a place in my life where I am able to contribute my time and energy to things that I am passionate about, like teaching yoga. In the past, I have tried and taught just about every fitness trend as long as it was tough and made your heart pound. Then one day my daughters took me to a heated Powerflow yoga class and my journey began. Within a month, yoga became the biggest physical challenge I had ever faced and it put me in the best shape of my life. All of my old injuries from the decades of running, intense fitness routines, and sports began to heal. I also experienced a remarkable improvement in my mental focus, patience, and awareness that allowed me to take on new challenges with great success. Yoga is a wonderful gift both on and off of the mat. I hope that you will join me in discovering and uncovering your inner strength.

Yoga is a journey that encourages physical strength, mental awareness, alignment with nature, and comfort with oneself. My practice has helped me gain an enriched perspective of life and I’m excited to be able to share that with you at Badger Fitness. I have practiced yoga for over 10 years and love the opportunity to tackle new challenges. Being able to practice Yoga as a group creates a unique communal experience where we can support each other towards a goal of spatial awareness as an individual.

If you come to my class looking for a workout I will challenge you with energizing power flows while staying rooted in fundamental poses. I’m easy-going and like to create a comfortable environment where we can push forward together to reach the next level of our practice. I look forward to seeing you in class!

I began my own practice in the months following the death of my mother and the birth of my first child. The heat, physical stamina and internal focus helped me build a new “best-self” to bring to the world. Whether you seek change in body or mind, yoga will guide you. My classes intend to integrate traditional hatha yoga poses with some daily flair to keep things fun and fresh. Off the mat, I’m a practicing speech language pathologist and mom to two preschoolers. I love to enjoy good food at home and while “urban hiking” with my dogs across Madison!

Hi I am Lili. I am thrilled to join Badger Fitness’ Team and am looking forward to exploring, learning and yoga adventures with all of you!

I was born and raised in China and moved to my second hometown, Madison in 2006 with my Madison-native husband. We have a four and half year old daughter, two cats, and some chickens.

I completed my 200-hours yoga teacher training at Inner Fire Yoga in March 2017. I have also completed Sculpt and Hot Yoga training at Inner Fire. I have been teaching a flow class at Eagle Heights Community Center and have been assisting at Inner Fire, both since April 2017.

Teaching is an absolute passion of mine. I was a Chinese language teacher for couple years and now I am working in the infant room at Eagle Heights Community Center where I brought my calm Ujjayi breathing to help babies and toddlers to calm down and find their natural conscious breathing.

I teach how I practice because of my passion for teaching and yoga. For the past 4 years, my practice has been focused on the simplicity of the postures to promote the calmness and stillness of the body and mind through breath. I love Hot and Yin as well as Vinyasa flow because I believe each type of yoga has its strengths that foster balance of body and mind.

Besides yoga, I also love cooking, traveling, music, gardening (especially weeding) and cleaning. For me, both weeding the garden and cleaning my house are forms of mediation that bring me a relaxing, meditative quality as both require much patience and concentration during the process of clarification.

At the beginning of a journey to a healthy life I started out just like everyone else. After having my second child, I realized that my body couldn’t bounce back as quickly as I once did. I struggled to get my body back on track, and came to realize that it wasn’t that my body couldn’t get fit; it was that my mind wouldn’t let it. Getting in shape was not only a body changing experience, but a mind changing experience as well. It is still an everyday battle, but I always tell myself “Exercise and nutrition should always be a way of life and not a chore”.

I love to help people and shape lives in a positive way. I will be there 100% as reach your fitness goals. Please feel free to introduce yourself and I’ll do my best to answer any questions you might have.

I am a certified personal trainer and group exercise instructor with over 19 years of experience. I decided to become an educator so I could inspire people to learn and develop a love for fitness. My specialty is high intensity workouts, but I love to work all with fitness levels, from beginner to advanced. Recreational Activities was my major and I’ve been certified by many organizations throughout the years.

I also work as a weight loss coach and believe proper nutrition is an essential part of long-term success. As a mother of two I understand how difficult it can be to find time to work out and reach pre-baby weight. Please know it is an attainable goal! My goal is to push people to their max and workout side by side with you each step of the way. Together we will reach your personal fitness goals.

I remember trying to workout with no results until I educated my self and became a trainer. I’m very well rounded in fitness and Ive helped MMA fighters prepare for fights all the way to stay at home moms wanting to loose those post pregnancy pounds. Once being overweight my self I totally understand the position your in and the struggles you deal with on a day to day basis, and this is why I specialize in fat loss and love seeing the progress of my clients. I enjoy being the root of my clients happiness with them selves changing lives through fitness and making an impact in there lives is truly rewarding. I began practicing yoga 19 years ago when I was a runner and hiker living in New York City. I felt the physical, mental and spiritual benefits immediately. I have been an athlete my whole life, but yoga gave me such a full mind body experience that I have been hooked ever since.

After moving to the Madison area three years ago, I enrolled in a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Program, concentrating on hot yoga, and power flow. I then enrolled in Sculpt Yoga Training and Yin Yoga Training. Each of the training programs equipped me with the knowledge and confidence to teach others, and greatly improved my own practice. Becoming a yoga teacher has been a dream come true for me. I am honored to share my yoga experience, knowledge and gratitude with the Badger Fitness community.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why take a class in a heated room?

Classes in a heated room help you work on flexibility and generate a detoxifying sweat. You will feel amazing!

What do I need to bring to the studio?

Bring a yoga mat, water bottle and towel. A yoga mat towel is also nice to have for the yoga classes, but not needed for TRT. Wear athletic clothing and be prepared to sweat it out!

How should I prepare for classes?

Drink plenty of water and eat a light snack about two hours before class for energy. Try not to eat too close to the beginning of class to avoid an upset stomach.

Which classes are best for beginners?

For yoga, try starting with our Gentle Flow and Yin classes to learn the poses and gain flexibility. TRT is a great introduction to strength training exercises. Beginners are welcome at all classes!

Which classes are best for weight loss?

Our TRT, BFlow, BPower, BHOT Core 2.0, Burn & Firm, and Bootcamp classes offer a more rigorous workout than the Yin classes. For beginners, these classes build muscle, helping boost your metabolism so you burn more calories even when resting.

Hot Yoga is only for women, right?

No way! Hot yoga burns a lot of calories, builds muscles in ways that weight lifting can’t and restores range of motion. Pro athletes practice yoga to gain an edge.
